Frequently asked questions about Holvi’s accounting service
The services are made for sole entrepreneurs and small businesses who invoice for their work. Our users include, for example, consultants, graphic designers and other expert entrepreneurs. Zen suits a sole trader (toiminimi), while Zen+ is perfect for a limited company (osakeyhtiö) or a sole trader operating on a larger scale.
As a sole trader, you’ll usually get by with single-entry bookkeeping, which you get with Holvi Zen. If you run a limited company or your operations are otherwise extensive enough, you need double-entry bookkeeping, which is included in the Holvi Zen+ package.
A sole trader must keep double-entry books if two of the following three conditions are met:
- The balance sheet total exceeds €100,000
- Turnover or equivalent revenue is over €200,000
- The company employs more than 3 people on average
A limited company must always keep double-entry books.
Your bookkeeping and tax remittances are done by a team of professional accountants. Holvi Zen’s bookkeeping is handled by the accounting firm Lemon Tree, and the bookkeeping for Holvi Zen+ is taken care of by the accounting firm Ezy Oy.
Before you start, we send you a form covering the basics of your bookkeeping. Send us your previous bookkeeping records or your latest income statement, and we’ll pick up where your previous accountant left off. We guide you through the transfer step by step, and it can also be done in the middle of a financial year.
Holvi Zen is €79/mo and Holvi Zen+ €99/mo. The price is fixed and includes bookkeeping, a business account, invoicing, a payment card and receipt storage. You can see the full list of services on our pricing page.
