Why do I need to verify?
As a licensed payment institution, Holvi works in a highly regulated sector. This means we need to collect specific information to help fight against financial crime.
We act in accordance with the European Anti-Money Laundering Act to make sure all our customers are who they claim to be, and that their activity is 100% legal.
This way, you and your hard-earned money stay safe!

- Protect Holvi customers from fraud and losses
- Protect Holvi from any kind of criminal activity
- Protect other people, authorities and financial institutions in contact with Holvi and our customers

This step is all about making sure it’s really you opening your account. To get started, download the Holvi app on your mobile device.
🇫🇮 In Finland
Our trusted partner Signicat will verify your identity via Bank ID or Mobile ID. Unfortunately, if you don’t have one of these you won’t be able to open an account.
🇩🇪 In Germany
Our trusted partners at IDNow will verify your identity via video chat. Accepted ID types:

🇪🇺 In Eurozone
For business owners in Austria, Belgium, Ireland and Netherlands, AutoIdent by IDnow will verify your identity via video chat. Accepted ID types:
How to verify your identity
Have your ID ready
Log in to Holvi on mobile and get your ID handy. Make sure you have a strong wifi connection.
Find someplace quiet
Then start the call. Our partners at IDNow or AutoIdent will walk you through the steps to verify.
Video chat or selfie
You’ll either to snap a selfie and a photo of your ID, or get verified simply via video call. Easy!
Step 3. Verify your business

We’ll review your documents and reach out as soon as possible
This is where you’ll share some details about your business – such as expected annual turnover, business activity, origin and destination of products & services.
You’ll also use this step to inform us of your company’s ownership structure and share details on your company’s owners.
Next, our team will review your information and open your account as soon as possible!

What business details do I submit?
Total amount of money your business receives as a result of sales from goods and/or services in the current financial year. Don’t worry, this is an estimate.
Fill in some legal details about your company owners. What percentage of your company do they own, are they politically exposed persons or tax liable in the US?
Tell us about your business and activity and provide your website, if applicable. We need to verify that you’ll be using Holvi in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy.
